Lafayette Art at the Mill will present its latest show “’Tis the Season,” running through Feb. 17. Gallery director C.J. Cona is continuing to review and select exciting new works of art for the show, which promises to have something for nearly everyone. Many of the pieces that will be included in the show, although of the same quality as the major works on display, will be smaller and easily affordable for the gift-giving season, with prices starting at only around $40. “’Tis the Season” features the work of dozens of local and regional artists, many of whom have shown their work both nationally and on the international circuit in shows and in competitions. Some of the artists selected for this show are well-established and some are gifted emerging artists. Several new talents have been added to the already existing lineup of fine artists including fine sterling silver jewelry artist Donna Dale, whose work has been featured at Bloomingdale’s and Bergdorf Goodman, as well as appearing in both Cosmopolitan and Vogue magazines. Celebrating the spirit of the season, a special “Holiday Open House” reception will be held on both Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17. Family and friends of the arts are most welcome to attend. Both receptions are open to the public from noon to 6 p.m. with refreshments served. Art at the Mill focuses on modern trends in the visual arts. The gallery will be open for holiday shopping Wednesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the weeks of Dec. 13 to 17 and Dec. 20 to 24, as well as by appointment. The gallery is located in the Lafayette Mill Antique Center in Lafayette, at Morris Farm Road, on the second floor, above the café.
