WEST MILFORD — West Milford Community Services and Recreation hosted its annual Spring Celebration on March 9, just a day after some snow hit the township. Larry The Magic Guy, followed by the Hat/Bonnet contest, filled the Hillcrest Community Center gym with children enjoying the magic show.
This year West Milford’s own Sylwia Krol, Miss New Jersey from the Miss American Coed Pageant, assisting with the event by leading the parade. Every little girl present had her eye on her, and on her crown!
Following the contest the families enjoyed making crafts, playing games and getting their picture taken with the bunny, all for free.
"A special thank you to Miss Krol, the Interact Club, and Barbara and Shane Sanders for all their help," said Marlene Terhune of Community Services and Rec. "We also would like to thank the team from Weichert Realtors in West Milford for once again volunteering their time for one of our events. Participation from our local businesses and residents truly makes this an event."
