Warwick, NY. - Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery will host its 9th Bob Dylan tribute festival from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29, as part of its ongoing music series, “Uncorked and Unplugged in the Orchard.” Singer-songwriter Steve Forbert will make his first appearance at the winery on Saturday, May 27. He will join musicians Sloan Wainwright and Dave’s True Story on the winery’s outdoor stage to open the weekend with a traditional folk sound. Local artists will also be featured among the performers, who will play a mix of Dylan songs and others in homage to the great American song writer. Pete and Mora Kennedy, who played at last year’s event, will make a return visit to perform in a variety of styles, ranging from roots rock to soulful acoustic pop. “Last year’s set was so good that we had to have them back,” said Jeremy Kidde, event organizer and co-owner. “We also asked Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams back, to give Sunday that festival feel,” added Kidde. Local blues and guitar virtuoso Bill Perry will also be part of the Sunday lineup. Wine tastings, hard cider and fruit brandies, as well as food and soft drinks, will be available all weekend. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets (but no coolers). Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.
