WARWICK, N.Y. The Warwick Valley Chorale is presenting its 71st annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Warwick, N.Y. The program, entitled "American Reflections," consists of sacred, patriotic, folk, and contemporary music. Featured selections include "Missa Exultate" by Gordon Young, "Missa Festiva" by John Leavitt, "New Millennium Suite" by Gwyneth Walker, "God Bless America" by Irving Berlin, "God Bless the U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood, plus other pieces.
The chorale is under the direction of Stanley Curtis, with accompanist Gail Johnson.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Avenue, Warwick, NY. Admission is free but donations are accepted to support the Chorale.
The Chorale has been invited to perform Gwyneth Walker's "New Millennium Suite" plus the patriotic selections from this program at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall on June 5, 2012.
