WEST MILFORD — West Milford High School is presenting The Drowsy Chaperone, a musical within a comedy, next Thursday, Feb. 28, Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2.
The Drowsy Chaperone is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s. The story features a middle-aged musical theatre fan playing the record of his favorite musical, the fictional 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone. As he does, the show comes to life on stage as he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors.
The West Milford version is directed by Heather Burns.
Tickets may be purchased at the high school box office on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased anytime online with credit cards only through www.seatyourself.biz/wmtps. Select the show from the calendar, choose the number of tickets you wish to purchase and the area you would like to sit, then checkout. Patrons using the online service will receive an email receipt. Print this receipt out and bring it the night of the performance since it serves as your ticket to the show.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students.
Show times are at 7 p.m. Thursday, and 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
