Hackettstown The Centenary Young Performer’s Workshop, a professional theatre training program for young people ages 8-18, will hold interviews for the spring 2007 program. Students meet on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for in both classroom and the production process of theatre arts. This 15-week intensive is designed to meet the needs of beginning, intermediate and advanced performers interested in working in theatre. The program ends with the production of three full musicals. The session will begin on Saturday, Feb. 10, with performances scheduled for May 25 to June 3. The Workshop operates under the umbrella of the Centenary Performing Arts Guild and Centenary Stage Company, a professional Equity theatre in residence on campus, headed by producing artistic director Carl Wallnau. The program is led by Broadway, film and television veteran Michael Blevins, who has appeared in the Broadway productions of “Bring Back Birdie,” Neil Simon’s “Little Me,” and “Tap Dance Kid,” in which he created the role of Winslow Alexander.
