Zombie Jamboree planned for LIVE! at High Point

A little bit of New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie and honky-tonk stewed with a pinch of Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean party music is what LIVE! at High Point will present when the VooDUDES take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday

Their performance, typically described as Mardi Gras on Wheels, will set the backdrop for the Saturday night music series, along with a Halloween Party with costume contests and a tapas buffet.

Tickets for the event will cost $10 per person in advance, or $15 per person at the door. The VooDUDES will perform on the main stage in the lounge, and a full menu featuring sushi and Asian cuisine will also be available in addition to the tapas buffet.

“Our guests will certainly feel like it’s Mardi Gras with this high-energy band,” said Jim Golden, co-owner of High Point Golf Club. “They are also a perfect fit for our Halloween party that will rattle the bones of all who attend. We hope that lots of folks come out dressed like zombies or whatever they’d like to be for the spooky holiday, and really enjoy themselves and the music.”

Throughout the evening, the VooDUDES also will host a costume party with a ‘zombie gift basket’ for winners in the following categories: Best Zombie, Scariest Zombie, Prettiest Zombie, Best Overall Costume, and more.
