I use the soft brush attachment of the vacuum and clean them that way first. If they need more cleaning, I either put them in the bathtub or wash them outside using a mild detergent like liquid dish soap. Using a soft cloth or a soft brush, just soap them up and rinse them well. You can gently shake them to remove excess water. Be sure to put an old towel down in the bathtub first as to protect your tub's finish.
