COVID-19 cannot deter Melissa Staubitz and Zachary Klarberg from exchanging wedding vows

Perseverance. The couple was married on Nov. 8, 2020, but the celebration was cancelled due to pandemic precautions; now that celebration is scheduled for their first anniversary.

Melissa Staubitz of West Milford and Zachary Klarberg of Wayne were married on Nov. 8, 2020, in the backyard of Zachary’s childhood home.

The ceremony was small and intimate and everyone present wore masks and socially distanced themselves.

Originally, Melissa and Zachary were to be married at the Valley Regency in Clifton, but plans were postponed two days before the wedding because someone in the family tested positive for COVID-19.

So the couple still got married on their original wedding date, but postponed the wedding celebration to their first anniversary on this coming Nov. 8, 2021, at the Valley Regency.

The family member who got COVID-19 made a full recovery and no other family members or friends tested positive after quarantining themselves (very thankful).

Everyone is currently happy, healthy, doing well ... and looking forward to November. Melissa and Zachary now reside in Fairfield, where Zachary started his own tax preparation and consulting company.
