Area piano students earn national recognition

    Sussex county - The Annual Auditions for National Guild of Piano Teachers was held the week of May 1. This years adjudicator was Saul Rosenfeld. He is a graduate of New York University, Chicago Music College and has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Southern California. He has been teaching since 1946. The National Guild of Piano Teachers was founded in 1929 by Dr. Irl Allison and has a membership of more than 118,000. The primary function is to establish definite goals and awards for piano students of all ages. Certificates and Bronze, Silver and Gold pins were awarded according to the number of pieces performed. The emblem of musical achievements is being worn by some of the most famous musicians in the nation.
