Fredon resident garners award from Moravian College

Meredith Wright, of Fredon, has been given the Moravian College Rising Star Award, given to the outstanding leader of the freshman class by the Moravian chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. A recipient of Moravian College’s Emerging Leaders Merit Scholarship, Wright writes a weekly blog for the Moravian Web site as a student journalist and is on the dean’s list. She is a Twenty-Six Point Student Ambassador and tour guide, a member of the Environmental Coalition and a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She also writes for the campus humor magazine and dances with the MC Dance Company. This fall, she will be a resident advisor. Wright, the daughter of Fred and Peggy Wright of Fredon, is majoring in environmental economics and public policy, with a minor in biology.
