Helen Mary Gertrude Gannon, nee Aitken, died on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012. She was 88.
Born in Riverdale, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine Aitken. A resident of West Milford for the past six years, she moved here from Palisades Park.
Mrs. Gannon is survived by three daughters, Patricia Giannini of West Milford, Eileen Conti of Franklin and Kathleen Rotondo of Hackensack, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Gannon in 1974 and by her daughter, Maureen OConnell, in 2008. Friends may call
Arrangements were made by the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, where a wake was held on Feb. 28 followed by a prayer service. Final disposition is private.
