The Friends of the Long Pond Ironworks recognizes a West Milford High School senior studentevery year with the "Long Pond Ironworks New Jersey History Award" scholarship. This year's winner is Tyler Joseph Search, who will be attending Passaic County Community College to study humanities/history. The scholarship is funded by a donation from the Niederstrasser family. "We all hope that his interest in history, specifically the history of our state, continues in the future, and we extend our best wishes for his upcoming undergraduate studies," said Hans Niederstrasser.
