    Caitlin Bracken of Hewitt has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester at Marist College. Caitlin is a member of the class of 2014 and is majoring in business administration - marketing concentration.

    Katelynn Timony, a student from West Milford, has been named to the spring 2012 dean's list at St. Bonaventure University. Katelynn is majoring in biology.

    The following West Milford residents have been named to the honor's list at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham for the spring 2012 semester. To qualify for the honor's list, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours.

    Sylwia Krol Sarah Lorenz Rider University's colleges of Business Administration; Continuing Studies; Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences; and Westminster College of the Arts have announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester. They include:

    Matthew Fantuzzi of West Milford, a finance major

    Katherine Hambor of Hewitt, a communication major

    Christopher Kane of Hewitt, a business administration major

    Dylan Miller of West Milford, aa accounting major

    Michael Silverman of Newfoundland, a psychology major

    Madeline Smith of Green Pond, a radio and television major

    Daniel Parker Joseph Gleason III of Hewitt graduated from Montclair State University on May 18, 2012. Daniel is the son of Winifred and Daniel P Gleason Jr. and a graduate of West Milford Township High School. Daniel graduated on the dean’s list and a bachelor of arts degree was conferred. Daniel was an English major with a concentration in creative writing and a double minor in the classics and art and design studio. Daniel was a member of the University’s Honors Program and his poetry has been published multiple times in The Normal Review, the official literary arts publication of Montclair State University. Daniel has previously and is presently participating in the Disney College Program where is pursuing his dreams.

    Matthew Romeo graduated from Sussex Community College on May 17, 2012 with an associate of liberal arts elementary/secondary education and associate of

    applied science for automotive service technology.

    Kristina Bakay of West Milford received certification in billing and coding from Dover Business college, Clifton Campus.

    Sandra Lazzinnaro of Hewitt, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College at Florham, has graduated as

    of May 2012. Christina Finkel of Newfoundland has been named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business for outstanding scholarship during the spring 2012 semester. Students who achieve dean's honors at Notre Dame represent the top 30 percent of students in their college.

    The following local students were named to the Providence College dean's list for the spring 2012 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve at least a 3.55 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credits.

    Several students from West Milford have been named to the University of Delaware's dean's list for spring 2012. Students must be enrolled full time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester. These students include:

    Elena Smith Kayla Vanderbeek Layne Emery of Hewitt was named to the spring 2012 dean's list at Saint Michael's College, a liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vermont. Layne is a first-year political science major who graduated from West Milford High School. She is the daughter of Stephen Emery and Kristine Emery.

    Alexandre Bieri, son of Bettina Bieri of West Milford, was named to the dean's list at Villanova University for the spring 2012 semester. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering and a business minor in May, 2012. Alexandre was on the dean's list every semester and graduated Cum Laude. He is currently still enrolled at Villanova University, earning his masters degree in engineering.

    Keith Williams of West Milford has been named to the University of Hartford's dean's list for spring 2012.

    The following local students have earned the esteemed honor of placement on the dean's list at The College of New Jersey for the spring 2012 semester:

    Alison Buske of Hewitt, a freshman English Secondary Education major

    Andrew Gallagher of Newfoundland, a junior English Secondary Education major

    Randi Veenstra of Green Pond, a senior history major

    Michele Vroegindewey of Newfoundland, a jJunior deaf/hard of hearing/El major

    To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

    Casey Rothenberg of West Milford has been named to Sacred Heart University's dean's list for the spring semester 2012. To receive this honor, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale.

    Kayla Marie Vanderbeek, a 2010 graduate of West Milford High School, has been named to the University of Delaware dean's list for the spring 2012 semester. Kayla is a special educationmajor with a minor in disabilities.

    Jennifer Tamayne-Hettema of Hewitt recently graduated form the State University of New York at New Paltz with a master's degree in Visual Arts Education.

    Elizabeth Marie McQuaid of West Milford received a master of science in educational administration from the University of Scranton at its May 26 post-baccalaureate commencement. The Jesuit universityconferred 59 doctoral degrees in physical therapy and 762 master's degrees, both of which are records for the University.

    Sarah Jensen of West Milford received a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Marist College the weekend of May 18.

    The following local residents were among 1,726 students who participated in the 2012 commencement ceremony at The College of New Jersey on Friday, May 11, 2012 on campus in Lions' Stadium:

    Randi Veenstra, of Green Pond, earned a bachelor of arts in history summa cum laude.

    Kaitlyn Kayser, of West Milford, earned a master of arts in teaching in special education .

    Katherine Nestor, of West Milford, earned a master of education in instruction .
