Local students have a successful year at college

    It's that time of year when college students return to town -here's a look at some of their achievements.
    More than 900 bachelor's and associate degree were earned at The University of Scranton's undergraduate commencement, held May 29 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre. Local residents earning undergraduate degrees include:
    Kacey E. Schroeder of Hewitt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication.
    Amy R. Trent of West Milford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences.
    Lisa Macari of West Milford was named to the Dean's List. Macari's major is Psychology and Early Childhood Education.
    Others received a variety of honors this past school year:
    Samantha Mays of West Milford, was named to the Dean's List at Sacred Heart University's Jack Welch College of Business. Mays will be a junior this September.
    Danielle Burns of West Milford Burns, a graduate of West Milford Township High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at Lebanon Valley College.
    Sarah Fruch of Hewitt, NJ. was named to the Dean's List at Cedarville University for the 2016 Spring semester. Fruch is majoring in nursing.
    Joseph Mays of West Milford, NJ graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University where he majored in molecular biology and music.
    Franklin & Marshall college junior Caroline Kearney of West Milford was named to the Honors List for the fall 2015 semester.
    The following students graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the commencement ceremony held Saturday, May 21.
    Abigail Schaefer of Newfoundland earned a BA in English.
    Collin MacDonald of West Milford earned a BS in Business Administration and Finance;Cum Laude.
    More than 1,650 students have been named to the Spring 2016 Dean's List at Kutztown University.
    Kirsten Ann Dahl of Newfoundland.
    Kristen Marie Gadomski of West Milford.
    Charlene M. Oselador graduated Summa Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a double major in International Relations & Diplomacy, and Modern Languages, and a minor in History.
