Alice C. Zampella, nee Seely, the widow of Arthur D. Zampella, MD who predeceased her in 1992, died on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012. She was 73 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Hewitt before coming to Newfoundland in 1954.
Mrs. Zampella was a registered nurse at Idylease Inc., Newfoundland, before retiring. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Newfoundland.
Surviving are her children Robert Bishop and his wife Christine of Grafton, Mass., Clark Zampella and his wife Laurie of Little Falls, Richard Zampella of Point Lookout, N.Y., Michael Zampella and his wife Natalie of Virginia, Susan Bishop-Cappadona and her husband Michael of Andover, and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Zampella was predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth (Winger) Seely.
Visiting is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Memorial services will be on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at 3 p.m. at United Methodist Church, Newfoundland. Final disposition will be private.
