Arlene Lynn Bertram was born on April 9, 1946 in Paterson, NJ and departed this life on May 7, 2014. She was a resident of Hewitt for over 40 years and had been married to her beloved husband, Charles John Bertram for 45 years.
Mrs. Bertram was a devout and faithful Christian who attended Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff. Arlene was retired but had previously worked at Prentice Hall, Ringwood Christian School, and Sharp Electronics. She cherished the time she spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren as well as her extended family and friends.
In her leisure, she enjoyed shopping, gardening and helping others. She will be forever remembered as a beloved mother, faithful friend, and much-loved grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joseph Clark and Norma Clark; father-in-law, Ronald Bertram, mother-in-law, Esther Bertram.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Charles John Bertram; her beloved twin children, Ronald Bertram and Rebecca (Bertram) Miller, daughter-in-law, Valerie (Achkhanian) Bertram; son-in-law, Chad Miller; and her two granddaughters, Reagan Bertram and Maya Miller; brother, Ronald Clark; sisters-in-law, Barbara Clark and MaryAnn Wiesner; brother-in-law, Kurt Wiesner; and nephews, Ronald Clark Jr., Ryan Clark, Kurt C. Wiesner and nieces, Amy Wiesner and Deborah Clark as well as a host of cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff on Tuesday, May 13, at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
