Bernice Helen Marion Perry, of West Milford, died on Thursday, March 7, 2013.
Mrs. Perry was a lifelong resident of West Milford Township. She was the owner and operator of Warwick Bakery, Warwick, N.Y., and Nees’ Bakery of Butler and Riverdale. In her youth, she was a patrolman for the New Jersey State Police Safety Patrol and had worked for the American Hard Rubber Mill Co. in Butler and later at Aircraft Radio Co., Boonton. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s R.C. Church Altar Rosary Society, chair of the church’s 225th anniversary celebration, and a CCD teacher there. She was a Girl Scout leader and a charter member of Bloomingdale Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9458. And, she was a member of the Butler and Riverdale Business Associations.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughters, Gail Grinkevich of Wantage, and Donna Kajor of Oak Ridge; her son, William of Kinnelon; her sister, Martha Parker of Bloomingdale; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and seven siblings.
Arrangements are by the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler. Burial will be at the St. Joseph’s R.C. Church Cemetery, West Milford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 454 Germantown Road, West Milford, NJ 07480.
