    Beryl Walter, widow of Richard H. Walter, Jr. who predeceased her in 1992, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. She was 88.
    Born in Manitoba, Canada the daughter of Norman Edward and Annie (Clark) Jacobs, she lived in Fort Lee and California before coming to West Milford 43 years ago. A World War II veteran of the Coast Guard serving from 1942-43, Beryl was a member and former vice president of West Milford Golden Agers and a volunteer art teacher at Marshall Hill School, West Milford.
    Her children, Richard J. Walter of Parsippany, Catherine B. Wilson of Los Molinas, Ca., Sandra A. Nugent of Napa, Ca., Sharon L. Rounds of Mahwah and Debra M. Williamsen of Warwick, N.Y., 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren survive her.
    Visiting will be held at Richards Funeral Home, West Milford, on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m.
    A funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 91 Kinnelon Road, Kinnelon. Friends and family will meet directly at church. Burial to follow in the Cedar Heights Cemetery, West Milford.
    The family has requested donations to the church in lieu of flowers.
