Catherine Ella Demarest, formerly of West Milford, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021. She was 72 years old.
She was born on July 22, 1948, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to Ella (nee Falke) and Cornelius Melendy.
Cathy married Ira Demarest in 1966 and resided in Paramus where they raised their family.
For many years Cathy was a school bus driver for Laidlaw in Paramus, New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ira T. Demarest in 2015 and her dear brother Neil Melendy Sr. in 2016.
Cathy is survived by her loving children: Eric Demarest and his wife Christa of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, and Lisa Hoiem and her husband Ronald of River Vale, New Jersey; her cherished grandchildren: Evan Demarest, and Kyle and Jason Demauro; and her dear sister Jean Marie Passerini of Byram Township, New Jersey.
Cathy loved animals, nature, photography, traveling, reading and watching Impractical Jokers on TV.
