Catherine M. Fanning, widow of John Joseph who predeceased her in 2010, died on Friday, April 13, 2012. She was 84.
Born in Englewood the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Regan) Finnegan, Mrs. Fanning moved toHewitt 40 years ago. A graduate of Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing, Teaneck,she had been a retired registered nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NewYork. Mrs. Fanning had been a member of U.S. Cadet Nursing Corps.
She is survived byher children Michael, Patrick and Brian Fanning, Kathleen Moskin, Mary Dinos andSheila Mosser; brothers Thomas and Bernard Finnegan, a sister Mary Galea, ninegrandchildren Laura, Joseph, Rebecca, Nicole, Michael, Molly, Sean, Brianna andColleen, and one great-grandson, Nicholas.
Along with her husband and parents,her son, Sean, and daughter, Eileen Fisher, predeceased her.
Visiting was at Richards Funeral Home, West Milford. A funeral Liturgy was held on Monday, April 16, atOur Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Interment followed at Cedar Heights Cemetery, WestMilford.
