    Cecelia "Ceil" LaStarza, nee Pulis, a 12-year resident of Honesdale, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the age of 79.
    Born and raised in West Milford, she was the eldest child of John and Marie (Ashton) Pulis. She worked in West Milford for Camp Savio and went on to work for the West Milford Board of Education until she retired in 1999.
    Ceil was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. An avid reader, she also enjoyed knitting, gardening, and bird watching. Ceil is now reunited with her recently, dearly departed husband of 61 years, Robert LaStarza. She is survived by her sister, Carol (Pulis) Hooper, three sons, Robert J. Jr. and wife Tammy of Hawley, Pa., David and his girlfriend, Lesa McGuinness of Newton, and Michael of West Milford.
    She also has five grandchildren: Jennifer (LaStarza) Greco, Robert, Joseph, Emily, and David LaStarza, as well as two great-grandchildren, Enzo and Penelope Greco, and her dog and loyal companion, Missy. She is predeceased by her parents, and brother, Elbert "Chip" Pulis.
    Viewings will take place at Richard's Funeral Home at 1440 Union Valley Road in West Milford on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., followed by funeral services on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.
