Charles A. Gabriele, Sr., of West Milford died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. He was 80.
Mr. Gabriele was the beloved husband of Dolores H. (Rutz) Gabriele. A Korean War Army Veteran, he was owner/operator of Alpine Mechanical, Inc. of West Milford. Mr. Gabriele was a 35-year 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Koch Council, founder of St. Joseph’s CYO and a founding father of West Milford Little League. Surviving are three sons, Charles A. Jr. and wife Debora, Greg and wife Terry, Eric and wife Jaime, a daughter, Alexis Roberts and husband Douglas, two sisters, Gertrude Caimento and Marie Ottesen. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Ryan, Erin and David Gabriele, Justin, Danielle and Amanda Roberts and Casie, Kristy and Dylan Gabriele. A brother Fred predeceased him.
Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford Thursday, Dec. 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 454 Germantown Road, West Milford with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
