Christopher Schultz died on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was 54.
Born in Teaneck, he was the son of Lois (Scharnikow) and the late Richard Schultz.
Mr. Schultz lived in Montgomery, N.Y., coming to Poughkeepsie five years ago. An Army medic veteran. He was a registered nurse at Downstate Correctional Facility Satellite Unit, Fishkill, N.Y. He attended Berklee College of Music, N.Y., College of Dramatic Arts and Orange County Community College where he obtained his nursing degree.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two sons, Jacob and Jack, a daughter, Emma Kate Melchior-Schultz and her fiancé, Brian Henning, a brother Gary Schultz of West Milford and a sister, Katrina Goldberg.
He was predeceased by his father, a brother Richard and a sister, Susan.
Visiting will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, on Thursday, April 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday.
