    David Roden, beloved husband of Virginia,nee Vignola, died on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was 79.

    Born in Englewood, the son of George and Anna (Polinick), he lived in North Bergenbefore coming to Hewitt 25 years ago. A Navy Veteran from 1951 to 1956 serving during theKorean Conflict, he attained the rank of CT2. Dave loved the field of education.Before retiring in 1993, he was a high school principal in North Arlington andpreviously was a principal and history teacher at Palisades Park High School.Dave’s name was recently placed on the Montclair State University Wall of Honor.

    Along with his wife of 59 years, surviving are sons George and David Roden,daughters Susan Klaube and Bonnie Addotto, brother William, sisters Helen O'Brienand Mary Makisch, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

    Visiting will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford.
