Edith M. O’Neil went to heaven- a wonderful smiling angel- on Monday, July 27, 2020, at The Renaissance at Lincoln Park in Lincoln Park, N.J. She was 98 years of age.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J., to Anna (nee Balz) and Benjamin Ehrenberg, one of six siblings.
She was the kindest, funniest and sweetest person and will be missed by all. She was talented, loved telling jokes, many stories and loved singing.
I know she is singing and enjoying eternal life with Jesus. I love you up to God and back.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Francis O’Neil in 1976 and her loving son James J. O’Neil.
Edith is survived by her devoted daughter Denise Bove of West Milford, N.J., her cherished grandchildren Todd Bove of Hewitt, N.J., Brandon Bove of West Milford, N.J., and James O’Neil and his wife Loredana of Livonia, Michigan; her adored great grandson James P. O’Neil; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland.
A prayer service was held at the funeral home on July 31. Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.
