Edward R. Grich, beloved husband of Evelyn, nee Fisher, died on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012. He was 87.
Born in Stratford, Conn., the son of John A. and Mary (Kindel) Grich, he lived in West Milford from 1971 to 2000, then Toms River from 2000 to 2012, coming back to West Milford about a year ago.
Edward was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Before retiring, he owned and operated Edward R. Grich Inc., Pequannock, where he was a sanitary chemist.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Edward Grich and his wife Gail of St. Louis, Mo., and Jeffrey William Grich and his wife Valerie of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., a sister Frances Taylor of Stratford, Conn., and cherished grandchildren Edward J. Grich and Valerie Anne Grich.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Catherine of Bologna Church, 112 Erskine Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
