Eleanor Long, nee Geen, the widow of John J.,who predeceased her in 1997, passed away at home on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was 85.
Born in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of Dudley and Agnes (McGillicutty) Geen, she lived in Manhattan, coming to Hewitt 50 years ago. Before retiring Mrs. Long had been an assistant billing administrator for Manhattan Eye,Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City.
Surviving are her sons Kenneth J. Long and his wife Alice and Brian T. Long and his wife Sandra both of Hewitt, a sister Marjorie Freedman of Massachusetts, grandchildren Daniel and Alison Long and a great-grandson, Brandon Stratton. Along with her husband and parents, a great-grandson Tyler Stratton predeceased her. Graveside prayers will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.
