Emanuel J. "Jack" Walker passed away at home on Sunday, July 13, 2014. He was 82.
A lifelong resident of Ringwood, he was the son of the late Emanuel and Helen (Simon) Walker. He was a maintenance worker for D.P.W. of Ringwood before retiring and a member of the Community Advisory Group of Ringwood.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Walker, sons Mitchell T. Van Dunk and Emanuel Van Dunk both of Ringwood, and Lyle Van Dunk of Wanaque, sisters Lorraine Bott of Pitsville, N.Y., Charlotte Vreeland of Trout Creek, N.Y., and Pamela Walker of Pennsylvania, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his companion Iris Van Dunk.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emanuel Walker, his sisters Joan and Barbara and a brother Kenneth, and sons Emanuel Walker, Dennis Walker and Brandon Van Dunk Walker.
Visiting will be held on Saturday, July 19, at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford from 2 to 4 p.m. with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. Final disposition will be private.
