Frances McArthur, nee Perrotta, of West Milford passed away peacefully on April 27, 2012. She was 66.
Frances was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on October 2, 1945 to Pasquale and Sara (Benanti) Perrotta. Frances was an insightful, talented, tell-it-like-is, creative thinker who loved conversation and debate. She was the family cook, baker and statistics keeper. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, gambling and designing things. She was a diamond in the rough who shined in our hearts and can never be replaced.
Frances was the beloved wife for 48 years of David D. McArthur Sr., the devoted mother of Theresa M. McArthur, Anthony L. McArthur and David D. McArthur Jr. and the loving grandmother of Riley, Jacqueline, David and Alexandrea. Frances is also survived by her sister Mary L. DeRitter and her husband Jack of Hawthorne, her brother Joseph and his wife Marie of Kissimmee, Fla., and her brother Pasquale and his wife Carol of Boca Raton, Fla., 14 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews and a host family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Susan.
Visiting was held on Monday, April 30, at Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial followed at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
