    Italo Maltempi, Italo, 87, of West Milford died on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012. He was 87.
    Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Remigo and Paulina (Petrolati) Maltempi. Before retirement, he was employed as a maintenance supervisor for New York City Transit Authority in New York. A resident of West Milford for the past 14 years, he moved here from Brooklyn.
    Surviving are his wife, Angela (Guarneri) Maltempi, two sons, Robert A. and his wife Marianne of West Milford and Richard F. and his wife Sue of Seattle, Wash., one daughter, Paula Maltempi and her husband Jim Mullin of Butler. Grandchildren Michael, Olivia, Hailey and Richard Maltempi and Kyle, Connor and Sean Mullin also survive.
    Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt, at 10 a.m. Disposition will be private.
