Juanita Mandrella died on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. She was 94.
Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Ira and Mary Wallace. Juanita lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, China, Ohio and most recently in West Milford, for the past 20 years.
She was a talented decorator and crafter, and she loved antiquing. Juanita owned her own craft boutique with her late sister, Jean Hall, while living in Kentucky. She was also requested to decorate the Kentucky governor’s mansion. Her smile and warmth captured the hearts of many; she will be missed by all who knew her, said her family in a statement.
She is survived by her daughter Marcie Babbitt and her husband Kevin, sons Michael Mandrella and his wife Susan and Richard Mandrella and his wife Karen; her grandchildren Riley, Patrick and Molly Babbitt, Leisa Stallard and her husband Neil, Kristen Houser and her husband Kevin, and Matt Mandrella; her great-grandchildren Paige and Preston Stallard and Julia and Michael Houser. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Mandrella in 2007.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Newfoundland.
