    Julia Buske of West Milford died on Sept. 12, 2012, with her family by her side. She was 14.
    A family statement read: Julia was a vibrant young girl, with an endless supply of energy and a heart of gold. She was always quick to put others before herself. Even in her short life, she touched so many with her irresistible personality and her exceptional ability to make others smile. Julia had a rare strength that allowed her to be the steady rock for others even when she was enduring trials herself. She was and still remains an inspiration to all of those who knew her. We will miss her dearly and her memory will live in our hearts forever.
    Julia is survived by her parents, George and Kathleen Buske, her two loving sisters, Alison and Emily Buske, and her favorite canine, Lucy Buske. She also leaves behind grandparents Henry and Doris Buske and Elizabeth O’Neill, 13 aunts and uncles, and 14 cousins. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Harold O’Neill, and her cousin, Megan Buske.
    The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 454 Germantown Road, West Milford. A funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Oncology Group (childrensoncologygroup.org) which funds research for childhood cancer.
