Karl Grimmelmann of West Milford passed away at home Monday, Oct. 15, 2012. He was 93.
Born in East Rockaway, N.Y., the son of Carl and Dorothy (Weigel) Grimmelmann, he lived in Cresskill before coming to West Milford in 2000. Before retiring he was an executive for American Express in New York City.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jean Ruth (Vogt), sons Kurt (Debbie Meyer) Grimmelmann of West Milford and Karl (Maggie Logan) Grimmelmann of Belle Fourche, SD, daughters Karen DeMauro (Raymond Harter) of Brookville, Pa., and Roberta Phillips of Bensalem, Pa., a brother Ihler Grimmelmann of New York City, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested donations to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
Private arrangements were made by Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.
