Laura Jennifer Moskin passed peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at home with her family by her side. She was 37.
Born in Teaneck, the daughter of Robert Charles and Kathleen (Fanning) Moskin, she lived most of her life in Upper Greenwood Lake.
A 1993 graduate of West Milford High School, she earned her bachelors degree in Religious Studies from Douglass College at Rutgers University. Laura performed with many local community theater groups, and practiced, performed, and taught flamenco dance in Vancouver, Spain, and New York City. She was very involved with local parishes in community service projects rebuilding homes after Hurricane Katrina. She also volunteered at Weiss Ecology Center, in Ringwood.
Surviving are her parents, her sister Rebecca Moskin of Phoenicia, N.Y., and her boyfriend, David Moore of Vernon. She was predeceased by her grandparents John and Catherine Fanning and Ruth and Benjamin Moskin.
Graveside services will be 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Warwick Cemetery on Route 94 in Warwick, N.Y. Laura’s family will be sitting Shiva and receiving guests at their home at 211 Point Breeze Drive, Hewitt, NJ 07421 following the burial on Tuesday, through Monday, April 22.
