Luciano Rudolph Coscia, 83, of McDonough, NY died on Monday, Nov. 6, beloved husband of the late Barbara Jane Coscia. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Carlo and Mary (Alibardi) Coscia. A resident of Mc Donough, NY since 1994, he was previously from West Milford, NJ. He was a veteran Army paratrooper in the Korean War and was employed by Home Fuel Service of Butler, NJ and then Manhattan Products of Lodi, NJ as a supervisor retiring in 1994. While in New York state he considered himself a “Gentlemen Farmer.”
Surviving are five sons and three daughters, Lauren Wallace of Mc Donough, NY, JoAnne Szymansky (husband, Roman) of Lighthouse Point, FL, Luciano Coscia (wife, Marlene) of Vernon, NJ, Michael Coscia (wife, Patti) of North Carolina, Julianne Polczer (husband, Frank) of West Milford, NJ, Bruce Coscia (wife, Jana) of Orefield, PA, Brian Coscia of West Milford, NJ and Christopher Coscia (wife, Heidi) of Stockholm, NJ. Also surviving is one sister, Mary Lou Provissiero of Jupiter, FL, twenty two grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Coscia. Predeceased by a son-in-law, Michael Wallace.
Friends may call at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Friday, Nov. 10 from 4-8 p.m.. Funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Germantown Road, West Milford on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery.
