A memorial service will be held for Joan Cardinale of West Milford on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home.
Joan passed away on Sept. 22, 2012. She was 82.
Joan, nee Simpson, was born in East Orange on April 3, 1930. She was a resident of West Milford for 58 years where she enjoyed raising her family, caring for her animals and witnessing nature. She was a lover of the sea, spending many of her summers in Ocean Grove, N.J.
Joan was the beloved wife of Paul James Cardinale for 62 years. She was also predeceased by her eldest daughter, Jan A. Cardinale. Survivors include daughters Janie Beth Cardinale, Dale C. Jones and her husband Terry Jones, all of West Milford, her sons Paul M. Cardinale of Maryland, and Frank W. Cardinale and his wife Lauren of Branchville. She also leaves behind five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the West Milford First Aid Squad or to the West Milford Animal Shelter.
