Michael E. Purdy of Newfoundlanddied on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at home. He was 53.
Born in Paterson the son of Robert W. and Jane (McCreath) Purdy, he lived in Oak Ridge coming to Newfoundland five years ago. He had been a self-employed house painter.
Surviving are a daughter Tanya Purdy of Connecticut, his companion, Pat Monastiro of Newfoundland, his close friend Donna Heinzelman of Newfoundland, and his sisters Beverly Jean Prall of Pennsylvania, Laura Walters of North Carolina and Linda Klinger of Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesay, June 6, at 1 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Donations to the family c/o Pat Monastiro, 27 Kanouse Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 would be appreciated.
