Olga Sabyan of Newfoundland, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021. She was 85 years old.
She was born in Passaic, New Jersey, the daughter of Stella (nee Geosits) and Stephan Lakowitz on Feb. 18, 1936. She was raised in Passaic and Clifton.
Olga married Eugene Sabyan Jr. in 1957 and resided in the Newfoundland section of West Milford where they raised their four sons: Steven, Robert, Glenn and Eugene.
She worked at the Meyer House Gift Shop in Newfoundland and Fireside Furniture in Pompton Plains.
Olga was predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene in 2020, her loving parents Stella and Stephan Lakowitz, and her two dear sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her loving sons: Steven Sabyan and his wife Linda, Robert Sabyan and his wife Angela, Glenn Sabyan and his wife Karen and Eugene Sabyan; and was the proud grandmother of nine cherished grandchildren: Samantha, Steven Kyle, Giovanna, Haley, Kaitlyn, Nick, Julia, Dillon and Connor.
Olga also leaves behind her dear sister Arlene and brother-in-law Joe of Clifton, New Jersey.
Memorial visitation and a prayer service were held Sept. 30 at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, New Jersey 07435.
