Raymond G. Kilgallen

Raymond G. Kilgallen, the beloved husband of Roberta, nee Riley, died on Sunday, June 1, 2014. He was 75.

Born in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of Edward and Loretta (McLaughlin) Kilgallen, he lived in Waldwick, coming to West Milford 43 years ago. Ray served in the Army from 1957 to 1959, was a retired union electrician for Local #3 in New York City and was Local #3’s telecommunications instructor. He was also a past president of West Milford Little League, a 12-year volunteer at West Milford Animal Shelter and a volunteer for the Valerie Fund.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Michele of Wayne and Kevin and his wife Jennifer of Summit, a sister, Mary Ellen Kilgallen and her husband Dave Sternberg of Vermont and four grandchildren, Caitlin, Emily, Caroline and Emma.

His parents and brothers Edward and John predeceased him.

A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Final disposition was private.
