Stella Onufrow, widow of Emil M. who predeceased her in 1994, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at home. She was 87.
Born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late John and Josefa (Morijanka) Furka, she came to West Milford 57 years ago.
Surviving are a son Emil Michael Onufrow and his wife Linda Birdsall of West Milford, daughters Carol A. Myers of Scotch Plains, Cynthia M. Onufrow of San Diego, Ca., Susan M. Oyer of Stockholm, Mary Ellen Onufrow and her husband Krug Fenz of Houston, Texas, sisters Dorothy Bercowy of The Villages, Fla., and June Scalia of Jackson, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her caregiver, Emma Koomson of West Milford also survive.
Along with her husband and parents, her sisters Ann DePalma, Mary Banach and Helen Lenzie predeceased her.
A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to West Milford Animal Shelter Society, Box 72, West Milford, NJ 07480 are requested.
