Verna Van Dunk, wife of the late Leonard, Sr. who predeceased her in 1981, died Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was 85.
Born in Kenvil, N.J., the daughter of Harry Maines and Alvaretta Wilson, she lived in Ringwood before coming to Hewitt 20 years ago.
She is survived by her children, Myrtle Van Dunk of Hewitt, Lenna De Groat of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., Leonard Van Dunk, Jr. of Florida, Lisa Boddy of North Carolina, John Van Dunk of North Carolina, Samuel Van Dunk of Florida, Jeremy Van Dunk of Hewitt, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and step-children Dominic and Rosemary Compano of Pennsylvania.
Private funeral arrangements were handled by Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.
