Walter "Wally" Courter passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 23, 2014 surrounded by his devoted wife Barbara Parker Courter. He was 57.
A longtime resident of Hewitt, Walt was originally from Butler.
Walt was a talented carpenter employed by his devoted friend Ed Klein of Klein’s Contracting. In a statement, his family said, "To know him was to love him. We will cry that you are gone, but will smile when we think of you."
Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara, Cooper (best dog ever), his sister Sandy Kessler Courter and many great friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 27, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Burial will be private.
