William R. Brock, beloved husband of Jane, nee Warnaar, died on Sunday, June 8, 2014. He was 79.
With his canine companion, Broek, he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge into the arms of his beloved sister Ruth (1957).
Born in Hackensack the son of David and Eva (Wortman) Brock, he lived in Bergen and Passaic Counties coming to West Milford 53 years ago. William was a Marine veteran of the Korean War, a retired assembly worker at Ford Motor Company, Mahwah and retired custodian for West Milford Board of Education. He was a member of VFW Post 7198, West Milford. Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ruth O'Brien and her husband Patrick of Westtown, N.Y., and Cynthia Vetrano and her husband Thomas of Verona, and his cherished grandchildren Caroline and Phillip Vetrano and Schuyler O'Brien.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers David and Richard Brock and sisters Ruth Norman, Helen Plog and Margaret Savage.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford.
