Sparta orthodontist renominated to public health council

Sparta - Dr. Lawrence Harte, an orthodontist in Sparta, was renominated to the Public Health Council of New Jersey by former Governor Richard Codey. The council is an advisory panel dealing with sanitation, water and bio-terrorism. Harte is a graduate of Columbia College and the University of Pennsylvania. He received his orthodontic training at the Eastman Center at the University of Rochester. He is former president of the N.J. Association of Orthodontics and presently represents orthodontists on the Council of Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. Harte is a past recipient of the Devlin Plaque, awarded to an orthodontist who has given back to the community and has exhibited the highest principles of orthodontics as a teacher, clinician and individual.
