    Franklin July 1, Saturday. Franklin Day Celebration. Parade starts at 10 a.m. on Main Street and ends at Franklin Recreation Area. Events continue all day long and conclude with fireworks at dusk. Green Township July 1, Saturday. Fireworks at Lake Tranquility on the beach. Start at dusk Sparta July 3, Monday. Fireworks at Lake Mohawk Country Club, start at dusk, with a rain date of July 4. July 4, Tuesday. Parade starting at 10 a.m. goes up Main Street and ends at the library. Stanhop July 1-4, Saturday - Tuesday. Americana celebration at Waterloo Village from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy a picnic (blankets welcome), or visit the barbecue and beer tent. The Vernon Fire Department is sponsoring fireworks at Veterans Memorial Park. The rain date is July 2. West Milford July 1, Saturday. Thunder in the Highlands at the old Jungle Habitat property on Airport Road will start at 4 p.m. with vendors, bounce slides, live entertainment, and food. There will be fireworks as darkness falls. Greenwood Lake July 1, Saturday. The Greenwood Lake summer concert series will hold a wide range of music against the backdrop of Greenwood Lake. Monroe July 1-2, Saturday - Sunday. Celebrate America at Museum Village from 12 - 4 p.m. Costumed interpreters demonstrate and talk about life in 19th-century rural American. A day of traditional games, such as pie-eating contests and sack races with prizes for both children and adults along with music and crafts. The Warwick Fire Department will sponsor a parade in the Village of Warwick at 4 p.m. Fireworks at 10 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park. West Point July 2, Sunday. Music Under the Stars Series, Independence Day Concert featuring the United States Military Academy Band. The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in the Trophy Point Amphitheater at 8 p.m. In the event of rain, the concert will be held on Monday, July 3. The Highland Mills Fire Company will be holding Independence Day Fireworks at dusk at the Monroe Woodbury School District’s athletic fields complex. Parking will be available on all school lots except for the lot next to the tennis courts at the Central Valley Elementary School, which is reserved for emergency services. Activites include art shows, live music, crafts, tours of the Dutot Museum and railroad station, and a classic car show. Jim Thorpe hosts the annual Stay-at-Home 4th of July Picnic at Memorial Park. Fireworks will begin at dusk. East Stroudsburg July 4, Tuesday. 15th Annual American Freedom Festival at Dansbury Park from 2 p.m.-10 p.m. Live music, food, action amusements, rides, crafts and merchants, clowns, jugglers, magicians, exhibits and demonstrations, prize giveaways, a 5k run and much more. Shawnee’s Annual 4th of July Celebration at Shawnee Place. Activities include magic show, outdoor concert featuring Kate & CJ and the grand finale, and a fully half hour fireworks display at 9 p.m. Admission is $15 for ages 3-59, $10 for seniors 60 and over, free for toddlers age two and under.
