Children helping children, that’s what the Marshall Hill Student Council did as they raised $1800 for The Smile Train organization. The Smile Train provides free cleft surgery for children who cannot afford it. Founded in New York in 1999, The Smile Train has quickly grown into the world’s largest cleft charity. Marshall Hill Student Council asked for as little as one dollar from students and staff. A paper train with the donors’ names was displayed on the walls of the school, where it eventually grew to represent $1800.
