The spirit of American girlhood will be the focus of celebration at the American Girl Fashion Show on Saturday, November 12 at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Basking Ridge. These programs showcases girls’ clothing styles of today and yesterday - with historical and contemporary fashions from American Girl, as well as Bitty Baby outfits for younger girls. Proceeds will benefit the Camp Nejeda Foundation, which operates the only residential summer camp in New Jersey specifically planned to provide a fun and safe camp experience to kids with type-1 (juvenile) diabetes. The American Girl Fashion Show provides a look at how generations of American girls have used clothing to express their own unique style and personality. The event includes refreshments, party favors, and door prizes, along with special souvenirs and chances to win dolls and accessories. Local models will present the fashions. The cost per person is $22, which includes one of the fashion shows (10 a.m. or 3 p.m.), refreshments, party favors and a tax-deductible donation to the Camp Nejeda Foundation. To order tickets send a check (payable to Camp Nejeda foundation) to Fashion Show, c/o S Catalano, 98 Conkling St, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. The fashion show is not recommended for girls under five.
