Our Lady Queen of Peace School celebrated the graduation of the eighth grade in a Baccalaureate Mass and commencement on Monday, June 5. In attendance was Fr. Frederick Walters, pastor, Fr. Richard Carton, guest homilist, Patricia Hurd, principal, and Lora Bobrowski, teacher. Students graduating were: Meleena Bhagwandin, Patricia DeFalco, Maria Foley, Lauren Freese, Jessica Gerace, Dylan Hess, Francis Kyle, Vanessa Lanza, Erin McCarthy, Michael McCarthy and Lauren Simmers. Eight of the students will be attending DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J. Scholarships were given by the Elks Club and the Rosarian Society. DePaul scholarships were awarded to Meleena Bhagwandin and Dylan Hess. Seven of the students are members of the National Junior Honor Society, including Class President Erin McCarthy.
