WEST MILFORD The Annual West Milford Township Halloween Parade and Jack-o-Lantern Contest held by the West Milford Parks and Recreation Department was on Saturday, October 28. Because of the rainy weather the parade was held at Hillcrest Community Center. Many of the decorations were made by local senior citizens, added to the enjoyment of the day. The weather didn’t detract from the enthusiasm of the crowd. Students from the West Milford High School PALS program and Interact Club, St. Joseph’s CCD participants and students from the JARAC group volunteered with all phases of the event. Here are the names of the contest winners: Best Decorated Jack-O-Lantern: Gabriella Crocco. Best Carved Jack-O-Lantern: Zach Bryjak. Biggest Jack-O-Lantern: Mackenzie Porch. Costume Contest winners: Prettiest 2 and under: First place Elianna Bacirca, second place Devin Roark. 3 and 4 years: First place Mychala Gosda, second place Holley Resch. 5 thru 8 years: First place Sarah D’Urbano, second place Ashley Rogosich. 9 years and older: First place LeeAnn Petrowski, second place Olivia DeJesus. Funniest 2 and under: First place Valerie Soovajian, second place Julia VanDenBerg and Mickey Niechwadowicz (tie) 3 and 4 years: First place Madison Augustyn, second place Hannah Elmini. 5 thru 8 Years: First place Brooke Morella, second place Alyssa Connors. 9 years and older: First place Jared Cooney, second place Briana Hoek.
